The stars at night are big and bright . . . Deep in the heart of the Caprock Canyonlands and you can join us to view them! Join us on a “green laser tour” of the night sky Saturday, March 28.
Professor Emeritus Arthur Schneider of Amarillo College will show up close views of the planet Jupiter and its moon, star clusters, galaxies, and much more with his large telescopes. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. at the North Prong Parking lot at Caprock Canyons State Park.
The program is free with paid park entrance fee. Please bring a comfortable lawn chair and a flashlight. Program is weather permitting.
Park admission is adults, $4; seniors, $2; children 12 and under, free. Camping is available, along with hiking, biking, fishing, and many other outdoor and recreational opportunities. All programs are free with paid park entrance fee. For more information, please call 806-455-1492.
